William Alois Sievers

William A. Sievers, 99, joined loved ones in heaven the 29th day of April 2023, son of the late Walter H. and the late Anna M., nee Hirt, Sievers, loving husband and best friend of over 74 years to the late June Sievers, nee Fischer, loving father of Thomas R. (the late Joann) Sievers, cherished grandfather of; the late Matt Sievers, Julie (John) Turner, and Zack (Jessi) Sievers, cherished great grandfather of; Kaylee, Garrett, and Aubree Turner, and William and Jacob Sievers, and beloved brother of the late Russell (the late Marcella) Sievers, the late Walter (Gen) Sievers, and the late Roy (the late Joan) Sievers.

William was a devoted member of St. Paul’s UCC, in Oakville, and a retired truck driver and proud member of Teamsters Local 600. He was a 1941 graduate of Central High School and a member of their City Championship Basketball team. He formerly coached Legion Baseball for the Hatfield Post and formerly played basketball with the Craig Club. William was also a member of the Dream Club and the Friendship Force.

Visitation will be from 4pm – 8pm on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 5508 Telegraph Road, Oakville, MO 63129. Memorial service will begin at 6pm at the church.
