William Schmidt

Schmidt, William F., fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Sunday, June 21, 2009. Beloved son of the late Peter and Adeline (nee Naber) and Isabel (nee Zeuner) Schmidt; dear brother of Marge (Frank - late) Lechner and Janie (Bill) Kaufman. Dear uncle of Emily (Matthew) Leong and Angie Kaufman; dear great-uncle of Jackson Leong. Our dear Godfather, Cousin and friend. Bill was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a recipient of Distinguished war metals. He was also firefighter, serving the City of St. Louis Fire Department for 34 years, retiring as Captain of Fire- House 22, and a member of The League of 1000 Men. Masses Preferred or a donation of One's choice. SERVICES: VISITATION: Tuesday 3-9 PM. Funeral from JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS 7027 Gravois (63116) Wednesday 9:30 AM to Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church for a 10:00 AM Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
