William D. McMullan Sr.

Bill was a proud WW II Army Air Corps Veteran. He graduated from Southside Catholic High School, class of 1945. He later received a BS in Business Administration from St. Louis University. He began his career at General American Life and then Monsanto Agrochemical Company where he became a member of the Senior Management team. In retirement, he tried his hand at several avocations, his favorite by far was his time as a conductor on the St. Louis Zoo railroad. Bill was known to be an avid reader and an advocate for education, both for others and himself. He loved his extended family and relished gatherings with his bride, Ginna, her sisters, his own, and their myriad nieces and nephews. Bill and Gin enjoyed road trips to see family as well as the natural beauty and roadside attractions across the country. They were also members of “the discussion group,” where they made many friends for life. Another hobby of Bill’s, one that he fancied himself an expert, was baking bread and the occasional pie although he wasn’t particularly good at the clean up part of these projections. Bill was able to touch so many people’s lives and encouraged them to grow and learn. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation Monday November 20, 2023, at Annunciation Catholic Church at 9 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Mass. Interment in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 11 a.m.
