He was born October 20, 1924 in Beaufort, MO to Rudolph & Katharine (nee Schroeder) Eckstein; preceded in death by his wife Therese (nee Holdmeyer), his son Michael, his grandson Andrew and siblings Mildred (William) Birke & Cornelius (Marie) Eckstein; survived by his children Margaret (Stephen) Mager, Mary (Ron) Duchek, Rudy (Mary) Eckstein, Steve (Kerry Pedecone) Eckstein & Linda (Doug) Markus; a daughter-in-law Lisa Eckstein, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and Anthony & Delma Holdmeyer, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Services: Funeral from JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS Funeral Homes - South County Chapel (4830 Lemay Ferry Road) 9:30am Monday to Assumption Catholic Church (4709 Mattis Road) for 10am Mass. Interment Assumption Church Cemetery. VISITATION SUNDAY 3pm to 8pm.
