Walter Schlereth

Schlereth, Walter "Gene" entered into rest on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at age 79. Beloved husband of Judy Schlereth (nee Heavner) Dear son of the later Walter and Mary Schlereth. Dear brother of Ronald Schlereth and the late Dorothea Mell, James and John Donald Schlereth. Dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, great-great uncle and friend. Gene excelled as a Senior Olympic runner. He ran in and received many medals in the Summer National Senior Olympics and the Missouri Senior Games. Memorials to the Green Pond Cemetery or the Siteman Cancer Center are appreciated. Services: Visitation Sunday at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS, 7027 Gravois (63116) from 4:00 pm to 6:45 pm followed by the services of the Scottish Rite, Crestwood-Anchor Masonic Lodge #443 and clergy. Interment Monday 11:30 am at the Green Pond Cemetery near Pearl, Ill. July 19, 2015
