Walter Koester

Koester, Walter E., age 84. Passed away on Thursday December 13, 2012. Beloved father of Kimberly (Terry) Cooper, Jill (Stephen) Stover, the late Keith (Jane) Koester, Jennifer (Keith) Cooper and Mark (Christie) Koester. Dear grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 3. Brother of Vernon (Marjorie) Koester. Our uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend. Walt served his country during World War II and the Korean War. He continued his service with the Air Force Reserve and the Civil Air Patrol. He was a long-time employee and volunteer at the St. Louis Science Center. Services: Funeral Wednesday 1:00 pm at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS South County 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. VISITATION TUESDAY 3 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Louis Science Center. December 18, 2012
