Vincent Joseph Behan

87, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on April 13, 2020. Loving husband of 60 years to the late Jeanette Louise (nee Gengler) Behan; beloved father of Linda (Art) De Villar, John Behan, and William (Shannon) Behan; dear grandfather of Justin King, Lauren King, Nicholas Behan, Elizabeth Behan, William Behan, and John Behan; dear brother of the late Alberta (William) Franklin, the late Agnes (Andrew) Maixner, the late Elizabeth Behan, and the late William Behan; dear son of the late William and the late Alma (nee Dirckx) Behan; dear friend to many.

Vincent is remembered as someone who always wanted to make St. Louis a better place. He was on the news for the way that he decorated his house every year for Christmas. He graduated from St. Louis University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and went on many major projects such as the Mercury and Gemini Space Programs. Vincent spent some time working as a secretary for the St. Louis Grand Jury. He was very active at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church where he served as the head usher for several years.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.

Services: Memorial Visitation on Friday, July 17th from 10am until the time of Memorial Mass at 11am, both at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church (6303 Nottingham Ave. St. Louis, MO 63109). Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
