Victor Rossi

Victor Donald Rossi was born on July 14th, 1935 in Saint Louis Missouri and passed away on February 23rd, 2019. Preceded in death by his father, Forest L., mother Lora Rossi nee Green, and sister Delores A Levine. Victor is survived by his brothers, Forest L. and Richard E. Rossi, most beloved husband of Jennie Rossi nee Bono, cherished father of Victor J., Vincent L. and Steven M., adored grandfather of Vincent M., Victoria K., Veronica K. Rossi and Victor Y. Koremura, great-grandfather of Avarey K. Perry, Georgiana B. and Camila J. Garcia, dear father-in-law of Janet, Diane and Carolyn Rossi. Special brother-in-law to Joseph C. Bono. Victor enlisted in the Missouri Air National Guard in 1957 where he rose from Airman Basic to the rank of Colonel and resigned his commission after 26 years of honorable service. Victor earned his bachelor of science degree in chemistry at Washington University Saint Louis, Missouri and earned his masters degree in business at Auburn University Montgomery, Alabama while attending the prestigious United States Air Force, Air War College. Victor worked as a chemist for the National Lead Company, Monsanto and as sales engineer at Lewis Pump Company before retiring in 1997. An avid Saint Louis sports fan, Victor played men's slow pitched softball throughout his adult life. Victor loved his family and dogs, music and singing while his sons played guitar. Victor was loyal to his friends and quick with a smile, a kind, generous man who will be greatly missed by many. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019, between 5 pm and 9 pm at: Ziegenhein and Sons South County funeral home 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd.
