On a beautiful December day in 1957, Vickey Lynn Waggoner (Wideman) was born as the beloved daughter of Howard and Ruby Wideman.
Vickey's journey through life was marked by love, creativity, and unyielding faith. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Keith Waggoner, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage that spanned 52 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and a deep commitment to one another and their family.
Vickey’s love for her family was evident in everything she did. She was a proud mother to her daughter, Sarah Reinfenberger, and her son, Andy Waggoner. Her family continued to grow, and she cherished her role as a grandmother to Riley White and Dylan White and as a great-grandmother to the delightful Noah White.
Vickey’s creativity was boundless; she was an accomplished painter, seamstress, and designer who poured her heart into every project she undertook. She had an innate ability to bring joy into the lives of others through her handiwork and her generous spirit. Vickey had a unique way of showing her love, whether it was through a beautifully crafted gift or a warm act of service.
She could do anything! An avid baker, crochet/knitter/quilter, gardener, seamstress, painter, upholsterer, vintage camper remodeler…you name it! She enjoyed many hobbies outside the home as well. Whether she and her husband were traveling around the country on their Harley’s or camping in their favorite parks, Keith and Vickey lived life to fullest.
Her faith in God was a cornerstone of her life. Vickey’s unwavering belief and hope in life everlasting through Christ Jesus provided her with strength and resilience, especially during challenging times. She faced life’s trials with grace and courage, inspiring those around her to do the same.
Vickey Lynn Waggoner is preceded in death by her father, Howard Wideman, as well as several beloved siblings, including Ray, Wayne, Vivian Pippin (Wideman), Sylvia Berkbigler (Wideman), and Dennis Wideman.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Keith Waggoner; her loving children, Andy Waggoner (Steven) and Sarah Reifenberger (Todd); her cherished grandchildren, Riley White (Brooklyn) and Dylan White (Summer); her great-grandson, Noah White; her beloved mother, Ruby Wideman, and her dear sisters Denise Miekamp (Rich) and Gay (Gary) McCarty.
Vickey passed away peacefully in Arnold, Missouri, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and faith that will forever endure in the hearts of her family and friends.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the wonderful nurses and doctors at Gentiva hospice, her granddaughter Summer, and their dear friends from Indiana, Kay and Anissa for their care and support during her final days.
