Vernon Hoelscher

Vernon Oswald Hoelscher died Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Meramec Bluffs Retirement Center in Ballwin, Missouri surrounded by family and under Hospice Care. He would have been celebrating his 89th birthday on January 3, 2015. Loving husband of 64 years to Darleen Hoelscher (nee Keller). Beloved father of Verleen Schmidt of St. Peters, Missouri and Denise (David) McDougall of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Beloved grandfather of Stephen (Kirstin) Schmidt, Alex McDougall and Kelsey McDougall. Dear brother to sister Vera Rallo of St. Louis, Missouri, and brothers Verle (Matilda) Hoelscher of Belleville, Illinois, and Vilas (Frieda) Hoelscher of Centralia, Illinois. Dear uncle to dozens of nieces and nephews and friend to many. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John's Evangelical United Church of Christ would be appreciated. Visitation and Memorial Service will take place at St. Johns Evangelical United Church of Christ on Monday December 8, 2014 as noted below. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 11:30am with full military honors. A lunch will be served back at the church immediately thereafter. Family and friends are most welcome.
