Teddy Jack Busch, a pillar in the community and a beloved figure, has passed away. Born on March 9, 1935, to the late Raymond and Mary Ruth Busch in Saint Louis, he was a man whose presence lit up every room he entered. Teddy's life was filled with great joy and love, and he touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Growing up in Saint Louis, Teddy attended Affton High School where he began to cultivate his strong work ethic and passion for helping others. After graduation, he embarked on a remarkable journey that would shape not only his own life but the lives of countless others as well.
Teddy's generosity knew no bounds. He dedicated himself to making a difference in the lives of those around him. Through various philanthropic endeavors, Teddy offered jobs, financial assistance, and opportunities to those in need. His impact on the community will be remembered for generations to come.
In addition to his unwavering commitment to helping others, Teddy's love for his family was immeasurable. He cherished every moment spent with his wife Sylvia J. Busch and their son Jeffrey M. Busch (Laura R.). To Teddy, family was everything, and he constantly showered them with affection and care.
Beyond his immediate family, Teddy also adored his grandson Blake T. Busch and granddaughter Lauren C. Russell (Brendan A.). He relished in their accomplishments and provided unwavering support throughout their lives.
Aside from his altruistic endeavors and devotion to his loved ones, Teddy had a few passions that brought him immense joy. He adored his furry companions — his dogs brought him comfort and happiness throughout the years. Additionally, Teddy took great pleasure in hosting gatherings at his home, inviting friends and family over for memorable dinners filled with laughter and camaraderie.
Teddy's character was truly admirable. His kindness knew no bounds, extending far beyond the confines of his immediate circle. He left an indelible mark on the lives he touched, and his memory will be cherished forever.
Teddy's dedication to serving others was also present during his time in the Navy where he proved to be an excellent marksman. His military service was a testament to his selflessness and commitment to protecting the values he held dear. Teddy's dedication to his country was a source of pride for him, as well as for all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
On December 24, 2023, Teddy Jack Busch passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. Although our hearts ache with his departure, we find solace in the memories we shared with him and the impact he made during his time on Earth.
To honor and remember Teddy, a visitation will take place on January 4, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Homes - South County Chapel in St. Louis, Missouri. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Teddy will then be laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery during an interment ceremony scheduled from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM.
As we bid farewell to Teddy Jack Busch, let us remember not only the sorrow of losing him but also the immeasurable joy he brought into our lives. His legacy serves as a reminder that true success is measured by the impact we have on others.
