Czapla, Sylvia F. (nee Polaske) died peacefully on April 3, 2017; Beloved wife of the late Joseph W. Czapla; Loving Mother of Kim (Harrell) Duff, Mary (Robert Layton) Czapla and Steven (Patricia Johnson) Czapla; Devoted grandmother to Jessica (Kevin) Webster & Christina (Todd) Smick and Babu to great grandchildren Trevor & Holly; loving friend of Kimberly Smith Czapla. Sylvia was a lifelong homemaker who took great pride in her family. She enjoyed summer concerts, Sunday rides with her friends, the Fox Theater, travel and driving her car. She is predeceased by her parents Frank & Frances (Gross, Wedde) Polaske and her sister Florence (Allan) Johnson. Our aunt, great aunt, great great aunt, cousin, sister-in-law, godmother and friend. Services: Visitation Thursday at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS Funeral Homes (South County - 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd) from 4pm to 8 pm. Funeral Friday 8:30am prayers for 9:00 am Mass at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. April 06, 2017
