Suzanne “Sue” Lydia Smiljanich (nee Frolo)

Born:  March 30, 1923, to March 19, 2023

Age 99, of St. Louis, MO. Beloved wife of the late Paul Rudy Smiljanich.  Loving mother of Richard Smiljanich, and Sandra Smiljanich (Janice McGah ), cherished grandmother of  Bryan Paul Smiljanich , Stacy Renee (Eileen) Narcotta-Welp ,  Adam Paul (Amy) Welp,  great grandchildren Miranda and Danielle Smiljanich, Daniel Welp and Miles Narcotta-Welp, Step grandson Greg (Stephanie) Schlereth, step-great grandchildren Logan and Lola Schlereth.  She is the sister of Ann Cook and her late siblings, Elizabeth Treybal, William Frolo, Marie Heitmann, Kathryn Bentley, Emily Brucker, Helen Westbrock, Margret Sang and Richard Frolo, Dear aunt, great aunt, and friend to all.

Sue was devoted to her family.  She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Affton.  Until her 98th birthday she was actively involved in various organizations at Salem, 50 Plus and the 5th Armor Division of Veterans Association.  She loved the outdoors. Sue loved to travel on hunting and fishing trips with her late husband Rudy, she also enjoyed gardening, along with playing cards and helping others. Sue was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, She was a loving friend and a selfless caregiver to many.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 9:00 A.M. - 10:15 A.M., Service to begin at 10:15 A.M. with Interment to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
