Stephen E. Bushart entered into rest on Friday, July 1, 2022.

Stephen was known by family and friends as Steve Bushart.  He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth & Patricia (nee O’Brien) Bushart; sister and brother-in-law Linda & Dale Godat.

Steve is survived by his three sons, Todd (Nikki) Bushart, Gregory (Kathryn) Bushart and Timothy (Sara) Bushart; grandfather of Haley Bushart, Tyler Bushart, Aurora Bushart, Melanie Bushart and Whitney Bushart; Dear brother of Diane (Kevin) Hoffman and Cheryl Linn; Dear friend of Gary Cooper and ex-spouse of Deborah Bushart; Dear uncle and friend.

Steve was a retired St. Louis City Police Officer.  He enjoyed coaching baseball when his kids were younger.  Steve especially liked to bar-b-que, going fishing and spending time with family and friends.  He loved music, especially listening to the oldies . Steve had a sense of humor and a very special place in his heart for his dogs.  He put his faith in the Lord Jesus and was looking forward to seeing his Lord and being reunited with his family in Heaven.  Steve will truly be missed.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022, from 12:00 Noon until service at 1:00 pm at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons, 7027 Gravois Ave., St. Louis, MO 63116.  Interment following services.  Memorial donations can be made to Backstoppers.
