Stephen Sweetin, Jr.

Sweetin, Stephen I., Jr. Born on October 21, 1934 and passed away on January 18, 2018, after a two-year battle of glioblastoma brain cancer. Beloved husband of 60+ years of Jerri Sweetin, dearest father of Stephen Sweetin and Lisa (Bobby) Wood, special Grandfather of Danielle (Josh) Peck, Eric (Courtney) Sweetin, Katie (Travis) Allen, Lauren (Justin) Audrain, Alex Sweetin, and Luc Wood. Great-Grandfather of nine. Son of the late Stephen I. Sweetin, Sr. and Maria W. Sweetin and dear brother of Katharine Buescher. Dear uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend of many. Steve devoted his life to his religion and to his family and friends. He touched the lives of many very deeply by simply being him. He will be forever missed with a void left in the hearts of all of those who knew him. Proudly served in the United States Navy; Past President of the Hampton Lions Club; Volunteer at both Mercy Hospital and St. Anthony Hospital. Steve's final act of his genuine goodness was gifting his body to Saint Louis University. Memorial Mass will be held at Mary, Mother of the Church, 5901 Kerth Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63128 on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. The family will greet visitors at church from 9:30am until 10:15am.
