Stacey Singer, 60, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 surrounded by his family. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on May 8, 1954, Stacey was the fourth child of the late John "Jack" Singer and mother Jeanne Singer. Stacey was married to Maureen Mahady on November 18, 1978. He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 36 years, Maureen Singer; seven beautiful children, Stephanie (Tom), Tiffany (Matt), Andrew, Amy (Kyle), Emily (Josh), Kimberly, and Christopher; five grandchildren, Tyler, Trey, Owen, Henry, and Vivian; mother, Jeanne Singer; sister, Susan and brother, Seth. Stacey was a dedicated employee for 20 years at Bunge North America as a Network Administrator. A hero to so many, our rock, shining example, and beloved husband and father passed away too soon after his long fight with pancreatic cancer. His loyalty, character, truth and honor were second to none and will be forever remembered. Never did he waiver in his belief in God's goodness, dedication to family and hope for a miracle. We believed and hoped with him for his miracle, as he tried numerous treatments to cure his illness. Each time, he called it a "new project" and bravely underwent new regimens, in which he suffered in silence, determination, and faith. Now, the center of our family, our beloved husband and father, is with the Lord. He got his miracle. He is our miracle too, our gift from God. Although too short, the precious time we had with him will forever be our greatest gift. Stacey had a love for music and enjoyed bike riding and waterskiing. He loved solving our problems, researching, handing out advice, and playing the world's smallest violin with two fingers. One of Stacey's favorite pastimes was planning family vacations. If he wasn't dreaming of sailing on Lake Superior or boating in his long-researched-but-never-purchased boat, he was dreaming up the next vacation. During his year and a half fight with cancer, he was nominated by his oncologist to receive an all expense paid family vacation this June, given by the charity, Jennifer Wynn Vancil Cancer Foundation. This wonderful charity selected our family so we could experience quality family time in a once in a lifetime family vacation - a dream come true. Now dad's dream does come true, as even after his passing, he gives us the gift of his cherished value, "quality family time." Please help us give back to this charity so they can continue blessing other terminally ill patients and their families at www.jwvcf.com
