Sophie Gibala

Gibala, Sophie C. (nee Turek), Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Sunday, November 8, 2015 age 93. Beloved wife of the late Frank S. Gibala; dear mother of Gerry Gibala, Phillip F. (Gail) Gibala and Christine (Tim) O'Brien; dear grandmother of Laura, Karen and Dan O'Brien and Matthew Gibala; dear great-grandmother of Josey, Emmet, Nolan, Alex and Hailey; our dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend to many. Sophie took pride in serving her Polish foods to family and friends to celebrate holidays and special occasions. She especially enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society or St. Stephen Protomartyr Catholic Church. SERVICES: Visitation Friday, 10:00 am until time of Mass 12:00 pm at St. Stephen Protomartyr Catholic Church, 3949 Wilmington Ave. (63116). Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
