Shirley Werner

Werner, Shirley L., of Saint Louis, Missouri, was born to Louie and Olga Juelfs and entered into rest Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in her hometown at the age of 86.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by, loving husband of 68 years, Erwin C. Werner, four (4) children, Joseph (Gail) Werner, Barb (Gene) Glasscock, Terry (Jeanne) Werner and Sharon Werner, four (4) grandchildren, Stacey (Joey) McCoy, Emily Werner, Adam Werner and Lindsay (Sean McGarity) Werner, two (2) great grandchildren, Aiden McCoy and Evelyn Werner-McGarity, many other relatives and friends.

Shirley was devoted to her family, and she loved the precious moments she had with them. She was a long-time employee of JCPenney. Shirley liked to read and go fishing when she could. She had a passion for quilting and traveling. Shirley will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9370 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63132.

Services will be at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons, 4830 Lemay Ferry Road, Saint Louis, MO 63129. Visitation: Monday, December 20, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service: Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 9:45 a.m. Interment following service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
