Shirley Triska

March 25, 1931 — August 11, 2018

Shirley Ann Myers Triska was received into Heaven on August 11, 2018 at the age of 87. Shirley was beloved by her family and countless friends. Shirley was the cherished daughter of Clarence and Anna Myers of St. Louis, MO and Columbia, IL. She was the beloved and devoted wife of Ronald Arthur Triska, who preceded her in eternity. Shirley was the wonderful and loving mother to seven children: Diane (Edward) Bremer; Peggy Triska, John Triska, Daniel (Jill) Triska, Nancy (Donald) Beasley, George Triska (deceased) and Laura (John) Bachle. She adored her many grand children to include: Julie (Justin) Hope, Donald (Rita) Beasley Jr., Andrew Beasley, Heather Beasley, Benjamin Beasley, Bex Bachle, Sarah Bachle, and Reanna Peterson. She held an extra-special adoration for her great-grandchildren to include: Amelia Hope, Collin Bertish, Caroline Hope, Bentley Beasley, and Henry Hope. Shirley was a member of Sokol St. Louis and contributed many years of her life to support the various committees, families, and friends within the organization. She was a talented seamstress as well as a creative cook and baker. She proudly served family and friends at dinners, potluck suppers, and famous backyard parties. She was an avid card player and shared many memories with the women who were her closest friends over card games, coffee, and cakes. Shirley loved life and shared her love and great sense of humor with everyone that she met. She had many lifelong friends from all ages and all walks of life. She was a caretaker for many of her years and was dearly cared for by her children in her later years. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Shirley's honor and memory to the Moolah Shriners Hospital Transportation Fund or to the VNA of Greater St. Louis Hospice. Shirley and her late husband, Ronald, supported the mission of the greater team of men and women who support the Shriners Hospital network. A special thank you to the wonderful staff and volunteers at the VNA of Greater St. Louis Hospice who tended to Shirley, as well as the kindness and care they provide for so many others.
