It is with great sadness and heavy heart we let you know that on November 26, 2018 Shelby Sosko took his own life at the young age of 16 yrs old. His mom, Norma, brothers, Slade and Chris, his grandparents, Bill and Dianne, extended family and his amazing friends are still in shock and disbelief this happened. Shelby had an incredible sense of humor, fierce loyalty to his friends and an infectious smile. His natural magnetism drew many friends with his enthusiastic and outgoing personality. Shelby loved spending time with his friends, being outdoors fishing and hunting, and loved animals. Shelby's loss and our grief are infinite as we still cling to his warmth, love and smile. Sometimes life does not make sense, this is one of those times. We will never understand what pain, or struggle, Shelby was experiencing internally as he lived his life to the fullest with an adventurous personality. The family would like to specially thank nurse Ali at Mercy Hospital, Sarah Suntrup, Michelle Sarich, Gale France, the Bruce-Stelmach family, Judee Herminghaus, the Rockwood Summit staff, students and family, Shelby's other "family" for their tremendous outreach and support.
