Ruthann Sampel

Ruthann Baehr Sampel, 83, passed peacefully on Monday, November 1, 2021. Ruthann was born on August 2, 1938 in South St. Louis City, Missouri, the daughter of the late William and Catherine (Piry) Baehr.  She was the loving sister of Catherine O’Dell. Ruthann shared three beautiful children with Louis Sampel. She was the beloved mother of Corinne Ackermann (Daniel Lambert), Susan (Thomas) Becker, Catherine (Robert) Goetz; dear sister-in-law of Donna (Sampel) Terry; cherished grandmother to Gregory, Melissa, Amanda, Ryan and Laura; a wonderful great-grandmother to Miranda, Ashton, Amelia, Luka, Archer, Eloise and Oliver; a loving aunt, and a dear friend to Edward Donnelli and many more.

Ruthann was a devoted mother who loved visiting with her children and family. Her dog Gingersnap brought great happiness to her life. She loved a good game of Bingo, was lucky at Pokeno, and enjoyed creating crafts for her family and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Delmar Gardens Chesterfield for their care and kindness during her final years. We loved her and she will be dearly missed.
