(nee Faller) 93, passed on June 23, 2020. She was the cherished daughter of Fred (Curley) and Florence Faller; beloved wife of, the late, Henry J. Renz, Jr.; loving mother of Cynthia (Greg) Carter and, the late, Sandra (Lee) Thompson; dear grandmother of Jason (Andrea) Carter, Ryan Thompson, and Matthew (LeiLannee) Thompson; proud great-grandmother of Bennet Carter and Ryan Thompson, Jr.; caring aunt, grandaunt, great-grandaunt, great-great-grandaunt; and a friend to many.
Ruth, also known as “The Cookie Lady,” of the family owned Dad’s Cookies, held the professional positions of personal banker and officer for nearly thirty years at Commerce Bank; for years prior to her retirement, she directed and chaperoned their Senior Partners Tours. Throughout her life she was active in many organizations: American Legion Auxiliary Unit 186, where she served as poppy chairman and then district president 1996-97; Le Petit Salon No. 17, where she served as Chapeau Passé twice; Alexian Brother’s Auxiliary, where she served as president for four years; and was a contributing member of the Eight and Forty American Legion Auxiliary.
