Rosemary Saake

Saake, Rosemary Ann (nee Clodius) passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Feb.27th, 2017. Dear wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt and friend of many. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, E. Joseph Saake and by her son Erich J. Saake (Linda) . She is survived by her children, Linda Chesney (Win), Lisa Saake, Mark Saake (Jennifer), Fran Saake-Thomas (the late Jim) and Karl Saake (Jill), her 9 grandchildren, Sean Balagna (Linda), Nathan Saake, Andrew Saake, Emma Saake, Ben Saake, Matt Thomas, Ethan Saake, Madeline Saake, Kyle Saake and 3 great grandchildren Ian, Grant and Hendrix. Rosemary's favorite things of late included lively card games, watching old classic and happily ever after Hallmark movies all night long, a really crispy crust sausage pizza or a Chinese feast of shrimp toast, egg roll and sweet sour chicken. Look past those things though and you would see a woman whose faith was unwavering, whose focus was on her family and whose love of music will live on in the legacy that she and Joe nurtured. She was a long time member of the St. Louis Metro Singers and also found time for quilting, gardening, bowling, and monthly bingo. She traveled and was a snow bird for many years enjoying the lovely waterfront view of Florida wildlife and sunsets. Your work is done ROSIE, rest in peace!!
