GARCIA, ROSE MARY (nee LaBarbera) on Friday, October 1, 2010 at her home in Pompano Beach, Florida at the age of 85. Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. Loving wife of the late Joseph "Shanghai" Garcia; dear mother of Barbara (Michael) Thorn and Joseph (Sandy) Garcia; dear grandmother of Holly (Rob) Studt, Nicholas (Christine) Jost, Amanda (Ed) Kranski, Shelley Whitmarsh and Jeffrey (Nicole) Clark, dear great grandmother of Natalie, Olivia, Katherine Studt and Isabella Whitmarsh, Colten Kranski, Dominic Jost and Jake Clark; Rose had six siblings who she now joins in Heaven, Florence Vitale, Joe, Sam and Tony LaBarbera Maryann Pitti and Margaret Mokawa, dear sister-in-law of Mary LaBarbera, aunt and friend to many. Rose was, until recently, a lifetime resident of South St. Louis and a long time member of the Spanish American Girls Society (SAGS). She worked for decades in Downtown St. Louis at various office building snack shops. She and her husband Joe enjoyed dance outings with many friends fondly referred to as The Swingers for many years. Funeral Wednesday 10:30AM at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS 7027 Gravois . Interment: Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery VISITATION: Tuesday 4-9PM October 05, 2010
