Ronald E. Ruehl

The family of Ronald E. Ruehl of Camdenton, MO is saddened to announce his passing on January 30, 2025 at the age of 81.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Ronda and Brian; grandchildren, Tanner and Brilyn; sister, Erna, as well as numerous other family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Retta; parents, Antone and Rose; and siblings, Shirley and Antone.

His grandchildren held a special place in his heart. He cherished time playing with them and watching them grow up. 

Ron was an avid car and Chevrolet enthusiast. His favorite hobby was working on his ‘Hot Rod’, a 1964 Ford pickup truck with a Chevy engine. He enjoyed attending car shows and competitions with his truck, winning many trophies and awards. He was known for his vast knowledge of all things automotive, helping many friends and family with their car troubles.

Boating was a big part of his life. Helping his parents run a boat business growing up, he developed a love for boats and spent much of his free time over the years on the lake with family and friends. His favorite past time was sitting on his deck watching the boats go by.

A Memorial Ceremony will be held on Saturday, February, 15th, 2025 at John L Ziegenhein Funeral Home, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis, MO 63129. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm with a Memorial Service immediately following from 2:00-3:00pm.
