Robert Max Schneider

Robert Schneider, 82, of Saint Louis, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, after certain illnesses. 

Robert Schneider was born on May 22, 1940, to Margaret and Max Schneider in Saint Louis.  After Robert graduated from Saint Mary’s high school in June 1958, he went on to study business at Saint Louis University. 

After graduating with a degree in business administration, he started his first job at New York Central as a traffic manager.  He continued with the same position at Brown Shoe Company. 

In 1961, Robert Schneider met Helen Hieger.  Robert Schneider and Helen Hieger were married in May 1966, and had one child, Joseph Schneider.

In 2002, Robert Schneider retired from Brown Shoe Company.  During his retirement years, he enjoyed working on his model railroad, doing various house projects, and enjoyed train photography.  He also enjoyed taking care of his son’s cats and dogs. 

Robert Schneider was predeceased by his parents, Max and Margaret Schneider.  He is survived by his spouse, Helen and his son, Joseph.  He is also survived by his sister, Kathy (Matt) Struckel, nee Schneider, and by his brother Paul (Marjy Polys) Schneider.

The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 6^th, at Saint Stephen Protomartyr 3929 Wilmington Ave. at 10 am.   Visitation will be held before the mass from 9 am – 10 am at Saint Stephen Protomartyr.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Stray Rescue of Saint Louis.
