Markiewicz, Robert John, Sr. Baptized in the hope of Christ's resurrection, Sunday, November 3, 2013 in the presence of his family. Born in 1929 in St. Louis, MO. He was married to the love of his life, Dorothy Anne Markiewicz (nee Mueller) for more than 45 years. Loving father of Aimee I. (Timothy) Rowbottom, Robert J. (Katherine) Markiewicz, Jr., David A. (Mechelle) Markiewicz and Anthony L. (Melissa) Markiewicz. Proud grandfather of Madeline, John "Jack", Kaitlyn, Anna, Matthew, Hailey, Kevin, Christopher, and Maurisa. Robert was a retired project engineer of 47 years from Alvey System Inc., US Air Force Veteran, a Life Member of the American Legion Post 777 for the past 61 years, and a member of the USAF 157th Group Headquarters and 131st Air Control & Warning Squadron Reunion Group. Services: Funeral Thursday, 12:30 p.m. from JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. to St. Matthias the Apostle Catholic Church 796 Buckley Rd. (63125) for Mass of the Resurrection at 1:00 p.m. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please remit donation to the St. Vincent DePaul Society of St. Matthias Services.
