Robert Horrell

Horrell, Robert J. on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, age 94. Beloved father of Bob (Joyce) Spindel, Don (Pat) Spindel and Jim (Sherry) Spindel, Kathleen (David) Stansfield, Brian (MeLinda) Horrell and Stephanie (Mark) Steitz. Loving grandfather of Jennie, Lisa, Michael, Shawn, Kerri, Chris, Matt, Jessica, Jacob, Nick, Allison, Brandon, Madison, Harrison, Tyler, Grace, Isabella and Evelyn. Dear great-grandfather of Chris, Ciara, Dakota, Nikhil, Akaash, Jason, Katie, Francis and William. Robert attended CBC Academy and St. Louis University (accounting degree). He was a member of the Elks and proud of his time in the U.S. Navy Air Corp as a Naval Aviator during WWII. He retired from Ameren UE after over 40+ years of service. He enjoyed bowling, softball, baseball and was a Bridge champion. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of donor's choice are appreciated. Services: Visitation Thursday 4 - 8 pm at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS FUNERAL HOMES (South County), 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. (63129). Funeral Friday leaving the funeral home 9:30 am to St. Joseph Catholic Church (Imperial) for Mass at 10:00 am Friday. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. August 11, 2016
