Zink, Richard Charles on Monday, April 27, 20l5 at the age of 75. Beloved high school sweetheart and husband of Judith (Kay) Zink, (nee Eskew) for 52 years. Cherished father of Lisa Slyman (Tony) and Susan Conley (Kevin). Loving grandfather of Jack, Lily and Emily Conley. Dear brother of Valentine Zink (Leta) and Robert Zink (Jean). Special cousin of Martha and the late Joseph Balsarotti. Dear uncle, cousin, step grandfather, step great-grandfather and friend to many. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Valentine and Esther Zink (nee Theiss) and an infant brother. Richard worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Anheuser Busch for 27 years. He took his family on vacation every year and loved to show his daughters all the historical sites in the U.S. He enjoyed bowling, but most of all he loved working in his yard and making it beautiful. He will be remembered for his dry sense of humor and love for his family. Special thanks to Dr. Mary Klix and her loving staff, especially Deneen and Bonnie, who helped Richard during his 14 year battle against Prostate Cancer. His courage was an inspiration to many. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, BJC Hospice or St. Lucas UCC . Services: Visitation at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS SOUTH COUNTY 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. Wednesday from 3 - 8 p.m. Visitation Thursday from 9-10 a.m. until time of funeral at St. Lucas UCC 11735 Denny Rd. Interment at St. Johns UCC Cemetery.
