Richard David Lampen

Lampen, Richard D. fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at the age of 75. Devoted husband to the late Ann Veronica Lampen, nee Steiger; beloved father of his daughters Jennifer (Lennie) Sansone and Jill (Paul) Frantti; dear grandfather to Jacob Sansone, Dominic Sansone, and Joshua Frantti; brother to the late Alice (Joseph) Steiger and the late Robert (Linda, surviving) Lampen. Richard will be reunited in Heaven with his parents, the late August “Gus” and the late Elsie Lampen. Richard is survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

Richard was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam. Richard grew up in the former St. Francis deSales Parish before he and his wife became members of the St. Joan of Arc Parish for over 40 years. Richard was a member of Heat and Frost Insulators Local 1. Richard’s free time was best spent with his family, from road trips to cheering on his grandsons at their ballgames.

Services: A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday June 12, 2023, at St. Joan of Arc Parish, 5801 Pernod Ave., St. Louis, MO 63139, with a visitation starting one hour prior to Mass. Interment in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. the same day.
