Rev. Deborah Ann Bourbon, RN (Capehart) owner of Pathways Books & Gifts transitioned into Spirit on October 20, 2013 after a 1-1/2 year cancer diagnosis. She is survived by her son, Jon Letter II, daughter-in-law Kelly, cousins Dawn Clear & Richard Capehart , her dog Heru, her Pathways family and many friends and customers. Deborah was born August 26, 1947 in St Louis, MO and preceded in death by her parents Leland and Nora Capehart. Brought up as a Spiritualist, Deborah's focus has been sharing her knowledge of multiple religious traditions with anyone searching for their personal path or where they religiously "fit in". As the founder of Pathways Books & Gifts for over 26 years, she has taught literally thousands of students, some of which have gone on to be leaders, teachers and authors in their own right. Deborah's list of spiritual accomplishment was lengthy. She was an ordained Spiritualist Minister, a Registered Nurse, a Reiki Master, metaphysical teacher, founder and owner of Pathways (a Metaphysical Resource Center) and a Servant of the Light. She was also an Eighth Degree Astarian, and the Founding Minister of Circle of Light Independent Spiritualist Church. She was initiated into the Jyoti Order of Spiritual Lightworkers by Namadeva Acharya (Thomas Ashley-Farrand). With over 42 years of spiritual experiences, her focus was on empowering people to improve their lives and focus on their spiritual growth. She had traveled around the world, creating and participating in ceremonies and rituals at sacred sites. In lieu of flowers, the Pathways and Letter family request that you consider making a donation to the Missouri Botanical Garden in Deborah's name in order to purchase a memorial brick for her. Donations may also be made online at www.mobot.org. Visitation Friday Nov. 1st, from 3:00-8:00 pm. Additional visitation is Saturday, Nov 2nd from 10:00-11:30 am and a memorial service at Noon.
