Reeda Adah Garcia, a beloved member of the St. Louis community, passed away on December 18, 2023. Born on April 25, 1949, in St. Louis, Reeda brought joy and warmth to the lives of all who knew her. Beloved cousin of Stephanie Wood and dear friend to Rhonda Choate, Joseph and Christine Kohl, Beverly Trousdale, and the late Kirby Shouse. Preceded in death by cherished grandparents Sidney and Verna Reder.    

 

Reeda's life was filled with rich experiences and remarkable achievements. After graduating from Roosevelt High School in class of 1967, she embarked on a journey of lifelong learning and self-improvement. Reeda's passion for martial arts led her to earn a prestigious 5th degree Black Belt in Kung Fu and studied metaphysics under Annie Hall and Ed Cleary. 

 

Throughout her career as a server at esteemed establishments such as Westwood Country Club and Algonquin Country Club, Reeda displayed exceptional professionalism and an innate ability to connect with people. Her warmth and hospitality made every dining experience memorable for patrons and colleagues alike. Reeda's dedication to her craft left an indelible mark on the hospitality industry. 

 

To celebrate Reeda's remarkable life and bid her farewell, visitation will take place on January 6th, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Homes - South City Chapel in St. Louis. The interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Louis at 1:30 PM.

 

Reeda Adah Garcia leaves behind a legacy of compassion and resilience. Her cheerful demeanor, unwavering dedication, and thirst for knowledge will forever inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. Although she is no longer with us, her spirit will live on through the memories she created and the lives she touched. 

 

In honor of Reeda's memory, memorials are appreciated to Stray Rescue of St. Louis. 

 

As we reflect on Reeda's remarkable journey, let us remember her with love and gratitude. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her light continue to shine upon us all.
