Raymond C. Schulz, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on November 2, 1942, in St. Louis to Evelyn A. Schulz (Moeller) and Charles E. Schulz, he lived a life highlighted by service to others and an enduring commitment to his family and friends.
Ray is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Ana Garcia Schulz; his children, Kara Schulz (Graham) Beard and Michelle Schulz; and his cherished grandchildren, Maverick, Macy, and Max Beard. He was preceded in death by his parents and twin sister, Kathleen Schulz Brendel.
Ray attended Roosevelt High School, Harris-Stowe State University, and Washington University, earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering. His career spanned the aerospace, telecommunications, and cable industries.
Influenced by his college years at Washington University, Ray had a lifelong quest for knowledge in various areas, including finance, history, science, and nature. He enjoyed golf, gardening, sports, hiking, reading, and tracking stock market activity. Ray’s greatest joy was his family, followed by his lifelong friendships. He will be remembered as a kindhearted man who loved his family deeply, wanted to help those in need, and was rich in friendships.
Memorial visitation will be on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. Memorial services will be on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 @ 10:00 am at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons. Inurnment following services at St. Lucas UCC Cemetery.
