Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on September 6, 2016 age 89. Beloved husband for 63 years of the late Virginia Mattlage. Loving father of the late Marty (Billie surviving) Mattlage, Marilyn (Mike) Callahan, and Alan (Becky Schaaf) Mattlage. Dear grandfather of Cory Collins, Heather Collins (Jose Licon), Chris Mattlage, Brad Mattlage, and Anna Mattlage (Matt Stroh). Dear brother of Audrey Turner. Dear brother-in-law of Lorraine (Carl) Hummelsheim. The family would like to express their great appreciation to Bethesda Health Group for their loving care of Dad. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Assn. are appreciated. Services: Procession leaving JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN AND SONS, 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. at 10:30am on Wednesday Sept. 14, to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for graveside service. VISITATION: Private family gathering. PRIVATE FAMILY VIEWING
