Peter Stenger, Sr.

Baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection on Friday, October 14, 2016, age 79. Beloved husband of the late JoAnn M. Stenger (nee Anzalone). Loving father of Deborah (Randall) Mourning, Peter J. (Laura) Stenger, Jr., Darlene (Timothy) Wilhelm and Steven V. (Allison) Stenger. Dearest grandfather of Josh, Matt, Kelsey, Jordan, Zach, Brooke (Collin), Timmy, Sabrina, Madeline, Lincoln and the late Mitchell. Dear great-grandfather of Collin, Brady, Rory and Sullivan. Dear brother, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend. Pete cherished and loved his family. He retired after 45 years as a lineman (AKA "The Hog") with AT&T/SWBT, and had perfect attendance his entire career. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Walking for Wellness: STOP HEROIN (www.Stop Heroin.org), in memory of Pete's grandson, Mitch Stenger, are appreciated. Services: Visitation Monday 3 to 8 pm at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS FUNERAL HOMES (South County), 4830 Lemay Ferry Road (63129). Funeral Tuesday from the funeral home at 9:15 am to St. Dominic Savio Catholic Church for Mass at 10:00 am Tuesday. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. October 17, 2016
