Pamela Faith Klaus February 1, 1956 – January 23, 2025
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Pamela Faith Klaus on January 23, 2025, at the age of 68 after her long battle with scleroderma. Pamela’s journey began on February 1, 1956, in St. Louis, where she was lovingly welcomed into the world by her parents, the late Herbert and Mary (nee O'Leary) Perez.
Pamela was a spitfire, a woman of incredible warmth, wit, and strength. For more than 25 years, she dedicated herself to Local 655 and her work as a meat wrapper at Shop n' Save, where her bright spirit and sharp humor left a lasting impression on all who crossed her path. Outside of work, Pamela was a treasure hunter, always on the lookout for hidden gems at estate sales, her keen eye never missing a find. Pamela was a true queen of hospitality. Her home was decorated for every holiday, her made-from-scratch meals were always on the table, and she would always say “The more the merrier”. Her gardens, too, were a testament to her loving care—a place where flowers bloomed as vibrantly as her personality and vegetables thrived under her nurturing touch. Pamela’s last years were filled with constant joy because of her dog Charlie. They were best friends, companions in every sense, and the bond they shared was something truly special. Charlie was always by her side, a constant source of comfort and love.
Above all, Pamela cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her beloved children, Kelly (Daniel) Klaus Tevlin and Kyle Klaus; her grandchildren, Isabella and Lilan Klaus; her sisters, Victoria (Mark) Wood and Michelle (Daniel) Haeffner; and her former husband, Daniel Klaus. Pamela’s legacy also lives on in her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of dear friends who were touched by her kindness. Pamela was preceded in death by her siblings Marty Williams and Cynthia (surviving Bernard) Meadows. Pamela’s warmth and kindness were felt by everyone she met, and the love she gave will be carried forward in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will remain a light in our lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Scleroderma Foundation in Pamela’s honor, a cause close to her heart.
Pamela's celebration of life will be held on February 1, 2025, at Faith Church in Weldon Springs at 10:00 AM, with a reception to follow onsite.
