Orren Lester

Orren Lester was born December 3, 1927 to Marshall and Flora Lester in Sheridan, MO and passed away April 1, 2017. He was married to Marvella Barbara (Gibbs) Lester in November of 1953 sharing more than 63 years together. Loving father to Debbie Franklin, Michael (Pat) Lester, Karen (Brian) Kowert, and Patty (Jim) Olsen. He was the dear grandfather to Jamie Olsen and dear step-grandfather to Judith and step-great grandfather to Lyla, Luke, Ellie and Evelyn. Orren was a World War II veteran serving his country overseas. Orren attended Washington University in St. Louis , earned his CPA certification and became co-founder of Lester & Randolph CPA. He was actively involved in his church, St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Oakville and spent many years delivering Meals on Wheels. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Ziegenhein Funeral Home, 4830 Lemay Ferry Road. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 5508 Telegraph Road. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
