It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew “Matt” Albert Niedringhaus, who passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, at the age of 53.
Matt was born on August 15, 1971, to Ned and Marie (nee Van De Waarsenburg) Niedringhaus in St. Louis, Missouri. Matt cultivated a strong work ethic during his youth by working on his family’s farm. From there he attended Hazelwood East High School, and then graduated from The University of Missouri - St. Louis, earning a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management, with a minor in communication. He also earned a Marketing MBA at Webster University. Matt built a successful career as a financial advisor and was respected for his tenacity and his dedication to his clients. He found immense joy in networking, meeting new people, and giving back to his community through the Shriner’s Hospital for Children and being an active member in The Maryland Heights Chamber of Commerce.
Matt married his beloved wife Jill Marie (nee Galeski) Niedringhaus on May 29, 2004, and were blessed with their daughter Katherine Anne Niedringhaus. Matt is survived by his wife and daughter, mother Marie, brothers Luke (Betsy) and Adam (Alivia), his nephew and godson AJ, sisters-in-law Cathy Prehm, Terri (Randy) Winkler, brothers-in-law Joe (Pam) Galeski, Gary (Lisa) Galeski, and Scott (Lisa) Galeski, and many many friends.

Matt was an avid Cardinals fan, tuning in to every game whether it was on the radio or television. He spent his time bowling, participating in Fantasy Football, gardening, and spending time with his cherished family and dogs. Matt will be remembered for his fighting spirit and enduring love for his family. Matt’s passion for stewardship was second only to his devotion to his faith. He will be deeply missed.
