May 30, 1925 — August 20, 2016

SUMMERS, MARY JANE (nee Meyer) 91 years young, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016. Wife of the late Woodrow \\\"Woody\\\" Summers; Daughter of the late Louis and Pauline (Downs) Meyer, Sr.; Sister of Louis (Darlene) Meyer. Will be truly missed by Janet Carter and Chris Collier, her BFF Elaine Maumann, her Granddaughter Crystal (Bob) Farley, daughter-in-law Janice Withrow, Step-Granddaughter Chelsea Summers, Son William Wamhoff III, Daughter Mary Margaret (Wamhoff) Metzger, Step-Son John Wood Summers and many adopted family and family and friends. Mary Jane was proud of her Baptist raising receiving Jesus Christ at the age of 12 when she was a member of the Jewel Baptist Church on Grand Ave. Mary Jane graduated from St. Mary\\\'s Hospital LPN School in 1950. After 22 years at hospital and private duty work, Mary Jane volunteered at Children\\\'s Hospital for 10 years. Mary Jane attended Christy Memorial Methodist Church on Morganford Road with her late husband, Woody, for 30 years. In 2002, Mary Jane returned to her church roots and joined Carondelet Baptist Church on Virginia Avenue. Where she has remained a member. Mary Jane will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Interment: Private Park Lawn Cemetery In lieu of flowers, memorials to the USO or Wounded Warriors Project. August 24, 2016
