Koester, Marie G. (nee Remes)

Entered into rest on Wed. August 24, 2022, at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Stella (nee Skapik) Remes, a baby brother Joseph, grandson Braden Lane, and great-granddaughter Shania Lane. Beloved wife of the late Herbert F. Koester for 70 years.  Dearest mother of Janet (Danny) Richards, David (Pam), and Gary (Lisa) Koester; Loving grandmother of Nicole (Andrew) Boerschig, Valerie (Doug) Southard , Neil (Tonia) Lane, Denise (Ryan) Walsh,  Dan (Casey) Koester, and Darren Koester.  Cherished great-grandmother of 16 and great-great-grandmother of 4; Dear sister of Henry Remes, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend.

Services: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, from 10:00 am until Funeral Service at 11:30 am at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Chapel.  Interment will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  Memorial donations can be made to the Ollie Hinkle Heart Foundation, 144 W.
