Mary Jones

Mary Lou "Terry" Jones (nee Ulrich) left her earthly life peacefully with hospice care on September 22, 2018 at the age of 86 years. She is survived by her husband of over 54 years Donald E. 'Don' Jones of St. Louis, Missouri; daughters Pamela Thompson of Sunland, California; twin daughters Jeanne and Joanne Thompson of Lonedell, Missouri; daughter Christine A. "Christie" (James) Gabel and grandchildren Logan and Delanie of St. Louis, Missouri; son Dr. Gregory "Greg" (Dr. Grace) Jones and grandchildren Sydney and Spencer of Kirkwood, Missouri; stepsons Martin (Lisa) Jones of Denver, Colorado; Christopher (Diane) Jones of Norfolk, Virginia; brother John Louis "Jack" (Pat) Ulrich, Jr. of Sparks, Maryland. Terry was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland where she attended school at Notre Dame of Maryland Preparatory School, later receiving her nursing degree at Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She had a career as an RN for most of her life. Nobody could doubt her love for and dedication to her family and neighbors as well as her passion for animals and all of the neighborhood wildlife. She loved her beach trips each year to our family beach house on Emerald Isle in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She was an avid football fan and rarely missed a Thursday morning for coffee with the neighbors. Visitation will take place on Tuesday October 9, 2018 from 10:00am-12:00pm John L Ziegenhein& Sons Funeral Home 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis, MO 63129 A memorial service will follow the visitation at 12:00pm, after which her ashes will be delivered for interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery where she will ultimately be joined by her husband Don who served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.
