Marvin Treece

May 14, 1936 — June 3, 2017

Treece, Marvin R. "Bill" (5/14/1936-6/3/2017, age 81). Loving husband for 35 years to Rosemary Treece (nee Leisler). Dear father of Jimmy Dale Treece, Julie (Nico) Arcino, Vicki (Will) Tung, Elliott (Karie) Treece, and Ruth Maher (Richard Pierce). Adoring grandfather of Paul (Julia) Treece, Ethan Treece, Lillie Tung, Evan Treece, Joaquin Arcino, Avery Tung and Charlotte Tung. Loving great-grandfather of Benjamin Treece, Alexander Treece and Elliot Treece. Dear brother of Richard (Gladys) Treece, Donna (John) Lichtenegger and Frank (Barbara) Treece and the late Jimmie Treece. Bill was a Toastmaster for many years with the Ferguson Club, and later earned the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) achievement with the Carondelet Toastmaster 525 Club. He was an affluent speaker and conducted leadership programs for students. Bill held worship services as an outreach ministry for Heartland Baptist Church, of which he was a charter member (formerly a member of Bayless Baptist Church). The outreach worship services were held at 5 different nursing homes and senior living centers for approximately 15 years. He loved the older people and they were very much aware of it. He also volunteered at the Alzheimer's Association. Unfortunately, in recent years he had to discontinue his involvement as a result of Alzheimer's disease, but never forgot about the people he served. Bill was most recently a resident of Bethesda Southgate. We thank them for their loving care. He led a full life and loved his family and friends dearly. Bill will be missed but never forgotten.
