Marecek, Marlene Ruth (nee Brehme), 85, of North Port, Florida, (formerly of St. Louis, Missouri) passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017 after a 17 year long courageous battle with Polyarteritis Nodosa. Marlene will be greatly missed by her extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews, friends, fellow volunteers and the "Bob Evans Breakfast Bunch". She was preceded in death by her husband Milton and son Michael. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 16th 10:00am at Park Lawn Cemetery, 1800 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis, MO 63125 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael W. Marecek Memorial Scholarship, St. Louis College of Pharmacy, 4588 Parkview Pl., St. Louis, MO 63110 or Tidewell Hospice, 12034 N. Access Rd., Port Charlotte, FL 33981.
