Marion L. Briggs entered into rest on Friday April 19, 2024, at the age of 94. Survived by beloved wife Michelle, nee Koval, Briggs; precious daughters Judy (Randy) Carson and Joy (Marty) Hanak; cherished granddaughters Nicole (Joshua) Doss, Ruth (Eddie) Melton, Krista (Tom) Buck, Katlyn (Kyle) Garcia, and Kimberly Fox; treasured great-grandchildren Lily Brand, Noah Lepp, Ellie Doss, Brittany (Bobby) Benton, Gina Melton, Cora, Celia, Lucas, Elizabeth, and Katalena; blessed great-great-grandchild Brewer Benton; and many other relatives and friends.
Marion was born to his parents the late Guy Y. and the late Celia, nee Berroden, Briggs in St. Louis City on May 28, 1929. Marion was a United States Navy Veteran, serving from May 1952 through 1953. After his time in the service, Marion went on to work as a Stationary Engineer for the City of St. Louis in facilities management. He also owned and operated an apartment complex on the City's South side. Outside of work, Marion dedicated his time and commitment to his St. Louis community as a part of many Fraternal and service organizations. He was a member of Meridian Lodge #2, St. Louis, MO and Meridian Chapter #442 OES, St. Louis, MO. In November 2015, he received the honor of his Masonic White Hat 33 degree honorary Inspector General.
Marion touched many lives throughout his long and honorable life and will be missed by all who had the blessing of knowing him.

Marion's visitation will be held on Tuesday April 23 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Masonic service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenehin & Sons South City Chapel 7027 Gravois Ave. St. Louis, MO 63116. His funeral will be held the following morning at 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. Following his service, a procession to Lake Charles Cemetery for his 11:45 a.m. interment.
