Harris, Marilyn Elizabeth
Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at the age of 85. Preceded in death by her parents, Euland “Tom” and Sylvia Harris (nee Wodecker), and her sisters, LaRita (surviving Art) Hovis and Jeannine (the late Harold) Sullentrup. Marilyn is survived by her sister, Judith (the late Paul) Bruegger, and her brother, Wayne (Suzanne) Harris, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Marilyn’s life revolved around her family. As an adult, she was a devoted caretaker to her parents until their passing. She was the beloved second grandmother known as “Marmaw” to many of her great-nieces and great-nephews. Marilyn’s love extended to her many dogs, especially Daisy. Marilyn was a longtime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Humane Society. Special thanks to the loving staff at St. Andrew’s at Francis Place.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 4-8 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South City Chapel, 7027 Gravois Ave., St. Louis, MO 63116. An hour-long visitation will be held the following morning, December 6, from 10-11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, with Mass beginning at 11 a.m. Interment at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
