Marion, Mardie Mae (nee Manning) entered into rest on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at age 93. Beloved wife of the late Matt J. Marion. Beloved mother of Vernon (Mary) Marion, Jewell K. (the late Carl) Robertson, Colleen (the late Jerry) Anderson, Matt Marion, Lillian (the late Fred) Melton, Camille (Paul) Drennan, Ann Marie Marion, Sheila (James) Blum, Dell Rita Marion, Renee (Mark) Skalij and the late Richard Marion. Dear grandmother of 23, great-grandmother of 24 and great-great-grandmother. Dear aunt of James and Pam Manning. Dear great-aunt and cousin. Dear friend to many. Mardie Mae Marion was born in Iowa on November 5, 1921. Her parents were Mary Elizabeth and James Wesley Manning. She married Matt J. Marion in 1937. They had eleven children together. She devoted her entire life to her children. Mardie always claimed that her children were perfect. She was a highly protective and devoted mother-always gracious and beautiful. Mardie will be terribly missed by all. Services: Visitation Thursday, November 13, 2014 at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS (South County), 4830 Lemay Ferry Road (63129) from 10:00 am until the time of funeral service at 1:30 pm. Interment at Shepherd Hills Cemetery to follow.
