Luella Black

Luella A. Black, nee Neun, 98, passed away January 22, 2023. Daughter of the late, Fred W. and Louise, nee Houy, Neun, mother of the late Bonnie Doebber, sister of; the late Iva Shoemaker, the late Erna Logsdon, the late Evelyn Neun, the late Fred Neun, the late Chuck Neun, the late Louie Neun, and the late Ed Neun, beloved aunt of Jospeh (Lucia) Neun and Linda (Bob) Schrepel, cherished great aunt of Jason (Robin) Neun, Chris Schrepel and Neal Schrepel. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Luella was retired from AT&T where she worked as a draftsman and was member of the Pioneers. She enjoyed many interests and hobbies including baking, painting with oil and acrylic paints, and ice skating. Luella was a caretaker volunteering as a Gray Lady at area hospitals and helping at Chatillon–DeMenil Mansion.

Memorials are appreciated in lieu of flowers to Backstoppers .

Visitation will be from 10am-12pm, Monday, January 30, 2023, at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons City Chapel, 7027 Gravois Ave. St. Louis, MO 63116. A funeral service will be held at 12pm immediately following visitation at the funeral home. Interment in St. Paul Churchyard.
