(88) Baptized into the hope of Christ's Resurrection on Thursday, December 20, 2018 .Born in St. Louis, MO, he attended Roosevelt High School, Lou served in the US Army during the Korean conflict as a Gunnery Sargent. Lou worked at Marlo Coil, Flagg Steel, J.H. Berra and retired as a custodian at Queen of All Saints Church. He was a loving husband to Mary Ann Amato (nee Kossmann) for over 65 years. Dear father of Michael (Debbie) Amato, Diane (Paul) Duenwald, Stephen (Victoria) Amato and Joseph Amato; dear grandfather of Joshua Amato (Tina),Stephanie (Andrew) Abram, Nicholas (Katie) Duenwald, Drew Duenwald, Lauren (Jon) Oakley,Tony (Kylie) Amato,Jake Amato and Nicci Amato. Dear great grandfather of Tyler, Gabriel, Cole, Aleiya and Mikayla Abram, Avery and Emma Amato, Lucas Duenwald, Lilly and Jack Oakley and Kirlia Amato. Lou was a good friend and neighbor to many. VISITATION Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons (South County), 4830 Lemay Ferry Road, 63129. FUNERAL Mass Friday, December 28, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Queen Of All Saints Church, 6603 Christopher Dr., St. Louis MO 63129. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Donations to Padre Pio's Foundation of America are appreciated. December 27, 2018 Thursday
