Oehler, Loretta E., of Saint Louis, Missouri, peacefully entered her eternal home Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the age of 103, fortified with the sacraments of the Holy Mother Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Louis J. Oehler, her twin sons, James W. Oehler and Robert F. Oehler, her great granddaughter, Olivia, seven siblings and their spouses, Cletus (Catherine) Biver, Leon (Jerry) Biver, Sister Marie Francis SSND, Rita (Bob) Buehler, Bernice (Harold) Schoen, Beatrice (Lee) Haas, Helen Biver, and Barney Geolat.
She is survived by, three daughters, Ruth (Al) George, Elizabeth (Gerry) Janson, Doris (Stephen) Hasser, and daughter-in-law Terri Oehler, fourteen grandchildren, Stephanie (Mark) Wobbe, Amy (David) McCubbins, Tony (Elizabeth) Oehler, Melanie (Scott) Gruber, Becky Oehler, Keith (Kelly) George, Karen (Bruce) Unger, Kyle (Emily) George, Joe Micciche, Jr., Tina (John) Lindemann, Eric Janson, Rachel (Jeff) Schuster, Noelle (Rich) Weymer, and John (Rachael) Hasser, twenty-seven great grandchildren, Sam, Henry, Julia, Charlotte, Haley, Matthew, Makaela, Jackson, Sophia, Guinn, Haley, Grace, Drea, Marin, Megan, Jack, Katie, Adam, Connor, Ethan, Michael, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Sam, Hudson, Gus and Eleanor, two sisters, Joan Geolat and Alice (George) Hasenstab, and many nieces and nephews.
Loretta was dedicated to her husband, family and church. She was a volunteer quilter at Resurrection of Our Lord Parish and then at Nazareth Living Center until the age of 99. She also sewed and donated hundreds of walker bags to the patients at Bethesda Dilworth Nursing Home. With her daily rosary and her ever expanding prayer list, she was known by her family as our prayer warrior. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be Monday, March 29, 2021 at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Parish, 4900 Ringer Road, St. Louis, MO 63129, from 9:30am until the time of Mass at 11:30am. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
