Lilyan Sadlon

Lilyan Suzanna Sadlon (née Ferko) died peacefully on April 15, 2018 in St. Louis, MO at the age of 95. Lilyan is survived by her grandchildren Margo Hansen, Samuel Ohlhausen, Michael Ohlhausen, and Gretchen Perschall, and her great grandchildren Sophie Finken, Benjamin Perschall, and Rebecca Perschall. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Sadlon, and her daughters, Elaine Ohlhausen and Marilyn Hansen. She was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend to many. Lilyan was born March 22, 1923 in Streator, IL to Mike and Mary Ferko, the sixth of nine children, and was baptized in the Lutheran faith. Lilyan married John in 1942 and moved to St. Louis. After a long career in the credit union at Monsanto, where her husband John also worked for many decades, Lilyan retired in 1985, enjoying her free time with travel, gardening, reading, book club, courses at the community college, and activities with her church. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to The Missouri Botanical Garden. A Service of John L.
